The Minnesota Retired State Employees Association (MRSEA) exists for one reason only; to enrich your life as a retiree. MRSEA serves you as a social organization and works hard to preserve and improve your public retirement benefits. With MRSEA, you’ll stay involved.
Retired state employees founded MRSEA in the 1940’s to help each other keep in touch and to provide opportunities for getting together with former co-workers. We expanded our focus in the early 1970’s to include advocacy on behalf of our members—particularly in the area of state pensions.
In 1978, we expanded our focus even further by affiliating with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees on both the national and state levels (Minnesota AFSCME Council 6). At the State Capitol and in Washington D.C., AFSCME helps us defend our rights.
